Care Ministries

The care ministries at Prairie Chapel offer a variety of opportunities to live out our faith by serving others with love and care. No matter what the care ministry, you’ll be participating in God’s work by serving the physical and spiritual needs not only of those in the Prairie Chapel family, but also those in the community around us who need to see the love of Christ lived out.

Care Team

Help care for the congregation with follow-up, anniversary and birthday cards. Care Ministries also assist the Pastor with home and hospital visits. Our care ministries are always looking out or the needs of others.

Bereavement Team

When Prairie Chapel is impacted by the loss of a loved one, the Bereavement Team prepares and serves a home cooked meal with care and love to grieving family and friends, showing compassion to those whose loved one has passed on.

Missions Team

Missions are an important part of Prairie Chapel’s outreach and a way of living out the Gospel. Our Mission Team provides community and individual assistance through a variety of outlets including back pack programs, annual Christmas time Angel Tree Giving, Back to School Lunch for area teachers, a free Thanksgiving Lunch, Winter Coat and Clothing Drive and other vital missions oriented functions.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry ensures there is ample food available to those in need. Prairie Chapel is a designated food pantry of the USDA Food Program. The program is supplemented by children collecting change during Sunday morning worship, individual donations, and volunteers giving of their time to serve others.

Young at Heart Senior Activity Day

This community activity day is hosted on the 2nd & 4th Mondays from 10:15 AM – 1:15 PM at Prairie Chapel for seniors, retired, shut-ins and anyone who is young at heart. We have games, crafts, cooking, fellowship and lunch. This is a great way to spend some social time old friends and new ones too.
